PASSER designs and manufactures the cable factory equipment that sits at the heart of HVAC and HVDC power cable production. Our vertical layup machines and large-capacity carousels are operating inside new and expanded cable manufacturing plants in the Netherlands, the UK, and Taiwan, producing three-core subsea cables for offshore wind, grid interconnectors, and subsea transmission projects.
Every project is engineered around the client's building, production flow, and final cable specification. Engineering, fabrication, and commissioning are handled by one supplier, so you get one contract and one point of accountability from quote through to production.

Carousels
Our high-capacity cable production and storage carousels are built for large-scale production and storage of power cables, umbilicals, and flexible pipes, delivering around 10,000 ton capacity, optional split-design, and full integration into your plant control system.
Vertical Layup Machines
Our vertical lay-up machines are designed for manufacturing large three-core HVAC power cables, with three interchangeable baskets rated at 250, 500, and 750 tons. VLMs are currently operational at TKF Eemshaven, JDR Blyth, and Walsin Kaohsiung.
Basket Drive Systems
One mobile drive unit serving multiple storage baskets, reducing capital cost and floor space compared with fixed-drive alternatives.
Baskets
Our baskets, standard or collapsible, are cost-efficient handling solutions for coilable cable, offering rapid on-site setup, full-payload lifting by slings and shackles, and optional connection to the PASSER Basket Drive System.
