We are proud to announce that PASSER Group have been awarded the contract for the vertical layup machine for TKF (BV Twentsche Kabelfabriek)’s new plant in Eemshaven.
PASSER Vertical Lay-up Machine (VLM) is designed for manufacturing of large 3-core power cables, with payloads of 200, 500, 750 or 1500T tons in each of the conductor baskets. Larger reel stands enables high payload fiber and filler Reels. The speed of the machine is limited to 10 RPM which enables the manufacturing of cables up to 20 meter pr minute at a lay length down to 2 meters. The Baskets and Reels are easily exchanged in order to have minimum amount of unproductive time. Filling stations for both Baskets and Reels may also be a part of the delivery. The VLM is integrated into the building structure.
